Darkness to Light
Lighthouses are one of my favorite things. I like seeing them in pictures and in real life as well. I've only ever visited the outside of lighthouses. I need to put visiting inside a lighthouse on my bucket list!
This lighthouse stamp is from Light of the World stamp set (ODB) from Our Daily Bread. I stamped it on yellow-gold paper with cobalt Archival Ink. (Scrapbook.com) I stamped it twice and fussy cut the lighthouse and used foam tape (Maymay Made It) for dimension behind the lighthouse and rocks. I used my new Wink Of Stella brush (MMI/S) to make the light look like it's shining. The glitter looks milky on my screen but in person it is just glittering.
I stamped Psalm 18:28 from OBD's Keep My Lamp Burning set. (OBD) I die cut the verse using Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Four (S) The words didn't stand out as much as I wanted, so I added micro glaze (S) to give a little extra brightness but not make it glittery. I used more foam tape for dimension behind the verse. I adhered everything on navy dotted paper and then framed it with more yellow paper. For the finishing touches I used metal embellishments.
Blessings,
